In this Issue

This issue of Passages is a celebration. Readers will unfold stories about the Legacy of Camp Hale and the benefit of finding a supportive community in “Extraordinary After Fifty.” Contributors to this issue help us to discover more of the “gifts” and “magic” of the outdoors, and CDTC offers a glimpse of the great breadth of work happening “Across the Divide.” CDTC is proud to present some of the people, partnerships, and connections that make the Continental Divide Trail landscape truly unique.

Plus, the CDTC Holiday Gift Guide is back to help you outfit your friends and family for the outdoors, and this edition of The Shakedown explores the debate over the ultimate backcountry utensil.

We hope that you enjoy this issue over the coming months and continue to be part of the CDT community.

This past few months have been a whirlwind, and it’s a good thing I had a nice long rest in the early summer!
