Register Your 2025 CDT Hike

This voluntary registration form is for those planning to use the CDT in 2024. The CDTC encourages all who plan to spend one or more nights on the CDT to register.

Hangtags are distributed to CDT long-distance and section hikers, as a memento and sign of your pledge to protect the CDT. To get one, you will be asked to show proof of your registration at one of the locations below. They are limited to the first 1,000 registrants. Once a distribution location/person runs out of hangtags they are done for the season. We can not guarantee everyone will receive a hangtag.

Registration helps preserve and sustain CDT by:

  • Provides usage data that helps the CDTC, federal land partners, and partner trail crews, to manage and maintain the trail.
  • Keeps you safe and informed by signing up for trail alerts.
  • Qualifies you to receive a free CDT hangtag. Hangtags are a sign of your pledge to protect the trail and commitment to practice Leave No Trace.

**This is not a permit and does not replace permits where required along the CDT. **
