CDTC Birthday Bash 2025 | Colorado Stewardship Hike
Join the Continental Divide Trail Coalition‘s Colorado staff for a hike and cleanup day along the CDT as part of CDTC’s Birthday Bash on May 21st at 2:30pm.
All supporters, advocates, volunteers, and community partners are invited to participate in this free event while celebrating the 13th birthday of CDTC, the national non-profit partner of the Continental Divide Trail. Participants will meet at the Herman Gulch/Bakersville area along I70 (exact location TBD). The hiking portion and trailhead cleanup will be weather dependent based on trail conditions, but it will be designed for people of all ability levels to participate. This event will be an opportunity to show our collective support as part of the Colorado Public Lands Day festivities starting May 17th, while also supporting our Federal Agency partners.
Remember to dress warm, bring sunglasses, water, and a snack if needed. Please do not bring your pet to the program. Always prepare for changing weather conditions in the mountains! Carpooling to the event location is encouraged (CDTC staff will be leaving from the CDT Golden Office if others want to meet there at 1:30pm). If weather or trail conditions are an issue, an alternate location may be selected and participants will be notified. Boots or waterproof shoes are recommended for spring hiking.
After the event, there will be a meetup between 5-7pm at Cabin Creek Brewing in Georgetown, which will include free beer tokens for volunteers and discounts on drinks for everyone who attends!
Please register for the event here. All participants must register themselves individually. Email Jordan at [email protected] with any questions!
