Join us for a day in the field, and spend a few hours connecting with other folks and engaging in some light trail maintenance. Turn right onto NM-17 N/Terrace Ave, continue on NM-17 N for 8 miles, and continue on CO-17 for 4 miles. The South Trailhead parking area will be on your right.

Project Agenda
9:00am: Meet at Cumbres Pass South Trailhead
- Discuss Tool Safety and Proper PPE’s
- Stretch and Safety Circle
- Sign Waiver forms
10:00am to 1:00pm: Begin hike/maintenance on CDNST
- Brushing/Debris removal, etc.
- Cross saw cutting along CDT where blowdowns exist
1:00pm to 2:oopm: LUNCH BBQ
2:00pm to 4:00pm: Community Hike/CDTC Story Sharing
4:00pm: End Stewardship Event
Project Description
Project work will consist of brushing, removal of obstructions (loose rocks, branches, debris, litter, ect.), cross-cutting (if needed/blowdowns). Some tread work may be needed in some areas to better expose the trail route. This work will be done from 10am – 1pm with a BBQ at 1pm – 2pm. Following lunch/BBQ a short community hike/story sharing will be conducted by CDTC Regional Rep. Corey Torivio.
NOTE: No more than 3 miles of trail maintenance from trailhead should be exceeded
