National Public Lands Day 2026 | Grand County, CO
Grand County, Colorado has the longest continuously running National Public Lands Day (NPLD) in the country. 2026 will be the 32nd year! Headwaters Trail Alliance, CDTC, and many other local partners invite you to join us on one of the various projects that are being hosted across the county. There is a project for almost every area of interest and skill level. At the end of the day, bring your family and friends to the NPLD celebration at the Rendezvous Event Center in Winter Park beginning at 4:30pm. There will be live music, food trucks, booths and giveaways. You do not need to volunteer on a project to join the end of day celebration!
CDTC will be supporting two projects on Saturday September 26th:
- Town of Grand Lake with branding the downtown boardwalk with the CDT blaze. Meet at Town Square Park by the info hut. Level – easy. Family friendly. 10am-12pm. See all the projects online and register here.
- Bowen Gulch Trail/CDT bridge construction in Rocky Mountain National Park with the National Park Service and Rocky Mountain Conservancy from 8:30am-3pm. More info online here – must register in advance.
