There are two routes you can take in Glacier National Park for the northern CDT terminus and this section highlights the main path to the Canadian border ending at International Peace Park. Glacier and Waterton Lakes National Park, in Canada, was designated Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park 1932 celebrating the longstanding peace and friendship between our two nations.
Taking the 39-mile Swiftcurrent Pass to Waterton townsite segment brings the senses alive as you pass through named and unnamed glaciers, and descend to the lowest part on the Trail, Waterton Lake at 4,126 feet in elevation. Contact: West Glacier National Park 406-888-7800.
