Glacier National Park is not only a breathtaking glaciated landscape but also is a hiker’s paradise containing 700 miles of maintained trails and the CDT.

This 19-mile up and down strenuous round-trip hike traverses Rising Wolf Mountain, the area’s major  mountain summit in Glacier National Park that climbs to 9,513 feet. This loop starts at the Two Medicine Campground trailhead along the shore of Two Medicine Lake. The trail offers splendid panoramas of the park’s interior and of many alpine lakes. Before another road opened in Glacier, this was once a very popular area of the Park. Now a serene and quiet, this beautiful area invites those seeking solitude of the Divide in Glacier. Contact: CDTA toll-free at 1-888-909-CDTA or Two Medicine Ranger District 406-466-5341.
