The small town of Lincoln is about 17 miles from the Continental Divide Trail on Highway 200. Water sources are difficult on the trail, so this would be the place to buy supplies. The CDT follows the actual divide on this approximate 8 mile section because it stays close to the crest, the topography rolling up and down like a manic roller coaster. The best views are found around Anaconda Hill within miles of Rogers Pass. Cliffs on the eastern face of the Divide overlook the South Fork of the Dearborn River and the tightly folded terrain of the Rocky Mountain Front. Contact: the Lincoln Ranger District of 406-362-4265
