CDT Gateway Community Celebration | Winter Park-Fraser, CO

Save the date for the official Continental Divide Trail Gateway Community Celebration for Winter Park-Fraser! To celebrate the 8th designated Gateway Community in Colorado, come party with us during National Trails Day weekend from Thursday June 4th to Saturday June 6th with family friendly activities, educational events, inspirational films, and special CDT giveaways! Please RSVP here for these FREE events.  Schedule of events:

• 6/4 – 6-8pm: Continental Divide Film Night at Big Trout Brewing Company
• 6/5 – 8-10pm: Dark Sky Party at Berthoud Pass with the Grand County Astronomers
• 6/6 – 10am-12pm: Guided hike with local ambassadors along the CDT (location TBD)
• 6/6 – 1-3pm: Family Fun! Come Touch-a-Truck with local agencies and Search & Rescue while enjoying nature-based crafting activities at Cooper Creek Square. Plus live music by grass ensemble, Andy Straus & Friends.
• 6/6 – 3-6pm: The Grand Finale at Hideaway Park Brewery will include exciting speakers, CDT-themed Trivia, and awesome door prizes!
• 6/5 – 6/7 (all weekend): CDT Blaze Scavenger Hunt at Confluence Park along the Fraser River 

   

  Here’s how to participate:

  1. Grab your walking shoes, camera, and sense of adventure
  2. Explore Confluence Park and the Vasquez Trails in Winter Park
  3. Look for CDTC blazes hidden along the trails (hint: there are 10 total)
  4. Snap a photo of each one you find
  5. Once you’ve found all 10, submit your photos to the Winter Park & Fraser Chamber of Commerce (9am–5pm) to claim your prize!

  (Note: This self-guided scavenger hunt runs Friday-Sunday throughout the weekend celebration.)
